Hiatus

As of the 19th of this month I will be hanging up my rods and returning to the UK indefinitely. For the next 12 months I will be studying in Cardiff for a Master’s degree in Journalism. After that, I’m not sure, but for the time being my fishing rods will remain in France, and as such Carpcast will be taking a little break too.

Thank you to everyone who has read and commented on the articles, photos, links and session blogs on the site. Once I’m back in a position to start fishing again (I can’t imagine i’ll be able to stay away for long!), the site will be updated again.

Tight lines to you all!

Stumble it!

Just wanted to say i have thoroughly enjoyed reading your session blogs over the last few months and will miss checking on your updates. I haven’t found anything quite as good anywhere else online. Hope everything goes well back in the UK and carpcast returns soon! Adam

    Cheers Adam!

I’m not sure what the year ahead holds, but I’ve a few sneaky projects up my sleeve that might well involve this sight. it is a journalism course after all…!

I’m sad to hear that there wont be any more tales of Carp fishing in France from you for a while, I regularly check for updates and will genuinely miss your posts.

If 12 months starts to feel like forever and you feel the urge to wet a line get in touch via my blog and maybe we could arrange a session, Cardiff is only about half an hour away but I must warn you that the weather will be nothing like France.

    Anyways, Good Luck
    Dan

Hi Will, good luck with the masters, have really enjoyed the blog and am looking forward to some more when you’re fishing again. Was just wondering if in the mean time you might be able to do a link swap with my blog www.hookedblog.com ?

Enjoy your break and good look with the masters Will.
I’ve just had a break myself and I’ve moved my blog during it. When you find the time, can you add ‘North West Carp’ to your blog roll.

I lived in Germany for several years, came back to the UK for several years. Due to being spoilt by the lakes in Germany and France I found it difficult to get back into my UK fishing. Some of my articles on French are available to view on my blog.

    Hi

Don’t feel upset for a few months without carpfishing. I have been in stop for 8 long years due to serious issues. Now i’m back, and i’m starting to repost my old photos in my actual carpfishing blog http://www.neversleep.it/index.php/a/category/pesca/carpfishing-carpe-boilies/ and i’ll start fishing back again next week. 8 years are very long, and i hope my story can be helpful for you and your Master in Journalism time !

    Fabio
