It’s been a few weeks now since the launch of the site, and everything has been going very well. I’ve had lots of positive feedback from you guys, which I would like to thank you for. I hope that you’ve continued to check back in on things regularly, and have been enjoying the new articles, session diary entries, photos and recommended reading links.

Last weekend saw the posting of my first video on the site, which albeit only short and rather uneventful, is a big step forward. Over the next few weeks I’ll be recording more little video snippets to share with you.

Another improvement on the site is the new mailing list system. This will automatically e-mail you when I update the site, with a snippet of the article and a link for you to click if you want to read more. I hope you’ll all sign up, so here’s the link:

I’ve added this to work alongside the RSS system which does largely the same thing in a slightly different way. If you want to read more about RSS, take a look here.

In addition to this, the forum has been temporarily disabled. The reason for this is that I feel it would be much more beneficial to get a solid number of readers together who are regularly visiting the site and interacting via the comments system - and then possibly re-launching the forum to open up some topics for a structured discussion/debate.

On this note, I know a lot of you through www.carpforum.co.uk and www.carp-forums.com - remember, you can always contact me via PM to my usernames ‘EAH ‘(carpforum) or ‘Monkey’ (carp-forums). It’s not my intention to compete with these site, more to offer something different to supplement them.

I’d really like you guys to keep reading, watching and listening to the site - but more importantly I’d love you to get involved.There are several ways you can do this; through ‘Comments’ on the posts,  by e-mails and also by contributing to the site. I’m always open to your ideas, stories and thoughts and would be more than happy to give you a place to air them - similarly if you see something you disagree with or don’t like, tell me!

Finally, I’d like to thank you all again for your interest. In the first 3 weeks there have been over 500 unique visitors, and the site is now beginning to show regularly in google searches thanks to some ‘tweaking’ behinds the scenes.
